At Donderstorm, we value privacy, transparency, and user control. This Data Deletion Policy explains how users and service providers can request deletion of their personal data from the Donderstorm platform, in accordance with data protection regulations, including the UK GDPR and relevant global standards.

1. Scope

This policy applies to:

• End Users using Donderstorm to find and book automotive services.
• Service Providers listed or registered on Donderstorm.
• Any personal data collected, stored, or processed through our mobile app, website, or integrated tools.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect and store:

• Account Information: Name, email, phone number, business details.
• Booking & Service History: Past bookings, feedback, payment reference data.
• Device Information: IP address, device type, cookies (for platform improvement).
• Communications: Emails, in-app messages, or customer support logs.

3. User Data Deletion Rights

Users have the right to request:

• Complete Account Deletion
• Removal of Booking History
• Erasure of Contact Details

We will process all requests within 30 calendar days.

You can request deletion by:

For End Users:

• In-app: Go to Account Settings > Privacy > Request Data Deletion

For Service Providers:

• Via email: support@donderstorm.com
• Via business dashboard: Settings > Data & Privacy > Delete My Data

5. Data Retention Exceptions

We may retain limited data for:

• Legal Compliance: Tax, fraud prevention, or law enforcement.
• Transaction Records: For up to 6 years (as required by law).
• Audit Trails: Anonymised logs for internal business operations.

6. Third-Party Integrations

If you have shared your data with third-party services via Donderstorm (e.g. payment processors), you will need to contact them separately for data deletion. We can assist in identifying which services may have your data.

7. Confirmation & Updates

Once your data is deleted, you will receive an email confirmation. Deleted data is irreversible.

8. Policy Changes

We reserve the right to update this policy. Changes will be posted on our website and app. Continued use of our platform after updates implies agreement.
